Here are some pictures from our Milwaukee trip that I have already posted on Facebook. Sorry I haven't been that into blogging lately. Not that into much of anything really....



First stop was crazy horse......... I don't know if it was worth what they charge but the sculpture was neat.


Mount Rushmore was cool and a lot better priced!


We got to Dallen and Christin's at about noon on Saturday. We were very glad to be there and glad to see them! We miss them so much and can't hardly wait 'til next spring and we will hopefully get to visit them again! The kids started out their play time with these blocks that Grandma Laurel brought for them. They dug, brushed and chipped away the chalk to reveal dinosaur fossils. They loved them and were covered in dust almost immediately.

This restaurant is called Solly's and are famous for there Butter Burgers......yes you heard me right, Butter Burgers! Dallen loves them and is going to have clogged arteries before he is done with dental school! They put a slab of butter (not a teeny one either) directly on the burger. It was a bit much for me but at least I can say I tried it!

We got to take a couple days and go to this resort called Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells while we were there. WE HAD THE BEST TIME THERE!! Best money I have ever spent! We were able to get a condo with a kitchen, 2 bedrooms jacuzzi tub (kinda) in the living room, and 2 bathrooms split it 3 ways and it was a great deal!!!! This also included to day passes at the indoor water park. Which was awesome! The kids loved the Lazy river and the kid pool and the adults and Brycen had a blast on the water slides. We all got a work out going up the stairs so many times. I love this picture of Callie and Taylie in the baggage cart, just wish it weren't so dark.

We also got to go to the Milwaukee zoo. Callie's first time. I know I feel like a terrible mother. Too bad she was starting to get the stomach flu that lasted the rest of the trip. Luckily nobody else came down with it!
This was a place called the Elegant Farmer. They had lots of wonderful food. We bought some pies and brought them home to eat. All their pies have apples in them and they bake them in paper bags. I think you can buy them online. (maybe) Also they had lot of different kinds of popcorn.
After going to the Elegant Farmer we made our way to the Children's Museum. The kids had lot of fun in the theater area!

Brycen made these crowns for Callie's birthday. What wonderful cousins. She loves them so much and there isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't talk about wanting to see them. We were so happy for the opportunity to go see them!

What I Wish Everyone Knew

I wish everyone knew that this hurt never goes away. We still need support, and I still need to hear my son and daughters' name. Now, even more than before, I NEED to have their lives validated.

I wish everyone knew ....that even though my babies' deaths were the most painful experience of my life, I am grateful for the pain, and I would still choose to have them even knowing that it would end the same....and I would give anything to cuddle them in my arms again, if only for a brief moment.

I wish everyone knew... that my heart leaps with joy every time someone asks me about my babies.

I wish everyone knew that a baby's age or size at birth or death does not determine to how much of a person he or she was or how much they will be loved or missed.

I wish everyone knew that an early miscarriage and/or losing a tiny baby is just as difficult and painful as losing any other child.

I wish everyone knew how much I need to talk about mybabies, and how happy it makes me when someone asks about them.

I wish everyone knew the struggle that I go through everyday to answer the simplest questions, like: How many children do you have?

I wish everyone knew it is ok to talk about my loss.

I wish everyone knew that I think of my babies all the time.

I wish everyone knew that I have completely changed because of my experiences.

I wish everyone knew how much I love and miss my babies.

I wish everyone knew how much I need to talk about them and remember them.

I wish everyone knew what it felt like to hold them, still, perfect, breathtaking and have to leave them.

I wish everyone knew what it felt like to long for just 1 more second with their baby. Maybe then they could truly cherish all the billions of seconds they get with theirs.

I wish everyone knew that us mommies who lose our babies carry them with us everywhere we go...for the rest of our lives...and to say we are changed...is putting it rather lightly.

I wish everyone knew and appreciated what an absolute miracle each and every child is, from conception to birth, viable and enviable.

I wish everyone knew that even though I can smile and go to work and "function" like everyone else, I'm not like everyone else.

I wish everyone knew that even if you don't know what to say to me, saying nothing at all is more painful than you can imagine. Ignoring me and never speaking to me again because it makes you uncomfortable to be around me is worse than being uncomfortable or saying the wrong thing.
